Ingredients

4 Portions

• ½ red cabbage
• 2 apples
• 2 carrots
• 1 red onion
• 1 glass red wine
• 1 handful of fresh thyme sprigs
• 1 tsp. cloves
• 2 tbsps. brown sugar
• Salt & pepper
• Butter

Swedish spiced red cabbage "Rödkål"

Directions

1. Cut the onions into rings and the apples into small pieces and heat with melted butter in a large pan over a medium heat.

2. Now add sugar, red wine and cloves and cover and simmer for 45 minutes.

3. Season with salt and pepper and serve in a bowl. Garnish with the thyme sprigs.
